With a resounding passion, a charismatic personality, and an anointed call from The Most High, Jeremy Wallace has burst on the scene as the powerful beam of light that gospel music has been anticipating for a very long time. Born in Birmingham, Alabama to Pastor Ervin D. Wallace, Sr and First Lady Gloria Wallace, he was the youngest of four children. Being a part of a very talented family, it was inevitable Jeremy would make an impact in the ministry. With a keen ear, and uncanny vocal talent, he began his singing career at the tender age of three.
As long as he can remember, music has been a big part of Jeremy’s life, and his love affair with music would soon emerge into something more. By the age of five, he was playing the piano during praise services at his childhood church and quickly developing a love for music and a fondness for the work of the ministry. At eleven, he began singing and playing with ‘Appointed by God’, a local gospel group comprised of singers from various churches. Although Jeremy was the youngest member of the group, being a visionary, he had no room for complacency and felt compelled to do more. His passion drove him to begin writing, composing, and arranging music for the group. Jeremy’s hard work and dedication, along with God given talent and ability, did not go unnoticed, and soon he began traveling throughout the state of Alabama singing, recording, and often directing various ensembles.
Still yearning to do more to strengthen his understanding of the gospel music ministry and to increasingly share his gift of music, Jeremy founded and directed a gospel choir at his local high school. He spearheaded the assembly of this fellowship while still a student himself, gaining great support from parents and students in the process. Though his efforts were challenged and threatened by forces both internal and external, he showed sound resilience, in rallying support and staying the course, to establish this organization in the midst of adversity. He then began playing for his father’s ministry, The Full Deliverance Church of God, at the age of fifteen. The ministry was new, and Jeremy worked diligently to build the music department from the ground up. His dedication to Christ and growing love for the gospel has vaulted him from musician to choir director to minister of music to director of the Sacred Arts Department, a branch of ministry that encompasses music, praise expression, and drama. The fruit of his efforts have not gone unnoticed as the church choir has become well known, respected, and requested by various ministries throughout Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
On June 2, 2008, the Spirit of the Lord moved upon Jeremy’s heart to start an ensemble comprised of talented Christians to sing unto the glory of God. Enter Elevated Praise Music Ministry: a group of people that love the Lord and are striving to do the will of God. Their main objective is to bring souls to Christ though music and to provide an awesome praise and worship experience. As the visionary and leader of this movement, Jeremy Wallace looks to once again attack another God given assignment with determination and passion until his mission is complete.
